This page explains what we collect when you join the AMA Venture Group waitlist, why we collect it, and how to get it removed. We kept it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
This site and the waitlist are run by AMA Venture Group, based in Pennsylvania. When this page says “we” or “us”, it means AMA Venture Group.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we ask for:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your school and LinkedIn profile, if you choose to share them.
- How you’re joining: founder, investor, talent or guest.
- Optional details you add, like what you’re building, your firm or fund, or what you do.
- Whether you want text message updates.
We also see basic technical data, like your IP address, which we use to block spam.
When you visit the site, we also count the visit: the page you viewed, the site that sent you, and your country, browser and device type. See “Visitor counts” below.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t use cookies, advertising trackers or tracking pixels, and it doesn’t follow you across other websites. Because we don’t track you across sites, there is nothing for a browser’s Do Not Track signal to switch off.
Visitor counts
To see how many people visit, we use Vercel Web Analytics, run by our website host. It doesn’t use cookies or store anything on your device, and it doesn’t identify you or build a profile of you. It records which pages are viewed, the site that sent you, and your country, browser and device type, and we only see these as totals.
Why we collect it
- To tell you about demo days and related events.
- To verify students and keep the room focused.
- To send you updates about AMA Venture Group.
Text messages
- We only text you if you opt in on the form.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to cancel at any time.
- Reply HELP for help.
- Texting consent is not required to join the waitlist.
- We don’t share your phone number or texting consent with anyone for their own marketing.
How we store it
Your details are stored with the service providers we use to run the waitlist, such as our website host and the tools we use to keep the list. They hold it on our behalf and only to provide that service.
We never sell your data
We don’t sell, rent or trade your information. We don’t share it with anyone except the providers above, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you’re on the waitlist. Ask us to remove you and we’ll delete them.
Age
The waitlist is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we’ll tell you before it takes effect.
How to get removed
To see, change or delete what we hold about you, email contact@amaventuregroup.com and we’ll take care of it.
